I have been doing genealogy and family history research for over 22 years!

The former holds records for all 100 counties of NC, either as original documents or as microfilm for those records retained by local register of deeds offices! The latter holds the most comprehensive collection of books and journals about NC (arranged by county) as well as an extensive collection of books for VA, TN, SC and other states either from which NC migrants came from or eventually traveled to.

  • I also do research and photograph collections held at Wilson Library, UNC (including The Southern Historical Collection), http://www.lib.unc.edu/wilson/ » and the Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library at Duke, http://library.duke.edu/specialcollections/ »
  • Need photographs of a cemetery in Wilson, someone interviewed in Tarheel NC, documents held by the courthouse in Greensboro? These are all places that I have traveled to in support of client projects.
  • Stuck with "born in NC" -- let us try and see if we can't help -- these projects can be successful.
  • Researching your free black or slave roots and don't know where to go -- we regularly work on projects to document African-Americans in the post Civil War. Then, we use deeds of sale, cohabitation records, estate records and other document collections to identify which plantation housed your slave ancestor.
  • Does your DNA evidence suggest a NC connection? If so, we can help you try and document how "you" are connected to your NC ancestors.
  • Need an article written on a NC or general genealogy research topic, let me help you. Since 2006 I have been a regular contributing author to Internet Genealogy, Family Chronicle, Discovering Family History, the Wake County Genealogical Society newsletter and journal and more. A full list of articles is available on my web-site.
  • Need a speaker on a NC or general genealogy research topic, consider me. Since 2006 I have participated in the NCGS Speakers Forum, given talks to local genealogy societies and other groups. A full list of talks is available on my web-site.

Please check out my credentials at http://www.mosaicrpm.com/Genealogy. » No project is too small -- whether you need document retrieval or a complete family history, let us help!

Thanks for considering Mosaic Research and Project Management -- we think that the legacy of our ancestors is invaluable!
