I am looking for descendants of Humphrey Murphy and Honorah Cunningham. Humphrey was born 10 Oct 1840 Ballyguinaha, Cty Cork, Ireland, and died in the U.S. before 1895. Humphrey immigrated to US between 1873-1875. First record in US is 1880 census, Humboldt township in Dakota Territory. He is listed as a widower, living with his mother Mary (Sullivan) Murphy (widow) and his three children- Patrick Francis Murphy, b. 21 Nov 1863 Firmount townland, Cork (my grt-GrandFa); Mary, b. 11 Jul 1867 Firmount townland; Daniel, b. 11 June 1870, also Firmount. Humphrey is a railroad laborer.

Patrick is next found in the 1895 Minnesota state census living with his wife Mary Hickey, her sister Katie Hickey,her mother Elizabeth Ellgellsby (sp), and three of his eventually five children: my grandfather Joseph Patrick (6): Mary (4), and Frank(1). Patrick lived the remainder of his life in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I am looking for any further information on Humphrey, his mother, daughter Mary and son Daniel. Members of our family think daughter Mary remained in So Dakota and that Daniel lived in Wisconsin.
